Биологический спутник «БИОН-М» №1

БИОН

Космический аппарат «Бион-М» №1 был создан во ФГУП ГНПРКЦ «ЦСКБ-Прогресс» (г.Самара) в рамках Федеральной космической программы и предназначен для проведения в орбитальном полете фундаментальных и прикладных исследований по космической биологии, физиологии и биотехнологии с возвращением результатов экспериментов на Землю в интересах совершенствования системы медицинского обеспечения длительных пилотируемых полетов и деятельности человека в экстремальных условиях.

Головная роль в формировании и реализации научной программы полётов «Бион» и «Бион-М» принадлежит Институту медико-биологических проблем Российской академии наук.
